ASICS and PACE unveil the second chapter of their global collaboration
with a refined reinterpretation of the GEL-KAYANO™ 12.1. Titled The Brismo 2.0, the
project represents the continued evolution of the partnership, establishing an ongoing
creative dialogue between Brazil and Japan through design, material research, and
cultural exchange.
The creative concept is inspired by rice, a staple food present in both Brazilian and
Japanese cultures.
On the sneaker, this concept is expressed through an emphasis on surface and tactility.
The upper features materials designed to invite touch, reinforcing the idea that the
product can be experienced beyond wear only. A layer placed over the technical mesh
reproduces the texture of raw rice, strengthening the connection between memory,
culture, and sensory perception.
